It makes me think about an humoristic show I've seen where someone played Bach as a teacher. He said : "Write simple and beautiful themes ; you always write them complicated and ugly...".

@mikejr41387 ikr? I went O_O when I saw and heard this...
-
many romantics wrote few fugues or 1 like Chopin, Chopin admired Bach very much, so probably he inspired him, but u cant even compare this with Bach, (*I Love Chopin is my favorite composer) but i dont like this fugue
-
A poorly-developed fugue. Theme not fully exploited.
-
@Maspixxx I'm glad someone agrees =D

@Forseti6288 I totally agree with you. Despite spending a lot of time playing Bach, I think Chopin stand in owe of fugues, but this only fugue reminds us that Chopin was a genius and he could have obtnained great results with fugues (like Mendelssohn and Schumann) if only he had tried harder.

I wish Chopin would have spent more time on fugues. I think he could have done amazing things with fugal concepts. Mendelssohn studied Bach a lot and romanticized it a lot and made it his own. His six prelude and fugues for piano are the best fugues I ever heard. I have a feeling Chopin could have done better if he tried. Although fugue is one of my favourite styles, I don't expect it to be Chopins =P

@anonymousQ45 Any aspiring composer's idol should be Bach. And, yeah, I guess you're right. I'm going over all the instances of trills in clavier, alone.
They are quite numerous. :L

@UltimaXG2 obviously this is an early work of Chopin and Bach was his idol through childhood. this was his way of emmulating Bach, you cant tell me the use of trills is not a Bach signature
-
@anonymousQ45 It does not sound like Bach. While I do enjoy Chopin, Bach was a superior composer, especially in this particular field of composition. :L
a fugue by CHOPIN? now ive heard it all....

Wow that swings like Benny Goodman. Seriously though, it's so cool to hear Chopin writing fugal music. Definitely not what you think of when you imagine Chopin.
