steve vais an awesome guitarist...but in my opinion he lacks something....technically he's genius...but i'd rather see someone like buddy guy or brian setzer (MOSTLY brian setzer)

Doesn't the begining of this sound like Bad Horsie? Usually from what I understand when you're in a duel like this it's usually to out do the other person. In the movie, Ralphs character initially shrugged of the classical playing for the blues and here Vai's character is rooted in rock style of playing and that's what his character is banking on. Vai had one weapon which is the rock playing against blues playing as to where Ralph's has blues and classical playing as weapons.
