When are Mr. Bush and the GOP going to figure out that they cannot legislate morality. Stem cell research would be very beneficial to me and my family, I have LUPUS, sister has DIABETES, father has PARKINSONS, we need every possible chance and he has taken the best hope away. Shame on you Bush

I could not agree more with this video. I have a son who could potentially be helped by stem cell research. Busy and his Republican party are punishing millions in the "name of God". It makes me sick..........

Stem cell research is not an issue of morals. Fertility clinics make blastula that are not used, and are incinerated instead of saving lives.
If you are one of the faithful, how can you believe that a loving God would show us how to heal sufferring, but not let us use it?
There are no more babies that are being killed, here- only lives to be saved.

I see why the country is so divided over this:
A large part of one camp is angry that the faithful are living in the stone age and believing fairy tales, a large part of the other camp is angry that science works against God.
Both miss the point, and are just angry.

Right on! Who the hell does Mr Bush think hs is telling what our morals should be. As far as I'm concerned he is the one who is the murderer and torturer by vetoing the bill! Don't put your religion on anyone else. I'm raised Catholic, but am smart enough to know that God is a fairy tale that is fabricated for power, control, money, and fear of death. Believe it if you want, but don't put that crap on me.

Very moving and well said. Thank you Kate for having the strength to share your personal pain with all of us. I want you to know that we care, we are listening and many of us are working very hard to help your family, and people suffering around the world, the help they need and deserve. I'll be praying for you. Good luck and blessings, Prana
