Space Shuttle Landing in "orbiter" simulator.

This is my best landing so far in orbiter the space flight simulator. Space shuttle discovery landing audio is included. The landing could have been better. I was a little to early on the pre-flare. Orbiter is a simulator where you can fly to the moon mars and beyond. It is similar to microsoft flight simulator. Orbiter can be downloaded here: http://orbit.medphys.ucl.ac.uk/

@NLonDS They call it a flying brick since it descends at such a high rate. It does fly smooth otherwise it would be quite difficult to land. And have you played SSM 2007? Its loads better than Orbiter. Hands down.

@mrdoctor4891 About the flying brick.. Every Commander or Pilot you ask how the shuttle flies, you will get the answer that it flies almost as smooth as a jet fighter.. I seriously doubt if SSM 2007 is better..

Space Shuttle Mission 2007 is soooo much more better. I started off on orbiter, nailed the landing on my second try. Ive had SSM for 4 months, and only now can I land the flying brick flawlessly.

@Felipe140396 You don't turn on the main engines during landing, as there is no fuel for them. You can fire the OMS engines by hitting the "+" sign, but the engines don't have enough thrust in the atmosphere to make a difference in landing. You have to land "dead-stick" with no power just by gliding in. The RCS thrusters may fire if you have the RCS activated, but again, in the atmosphere, they have little effect.
