Say, how did those guys pull off that skydiver glider-to-glider transfer that's getting some much attention on YouTube and Red Bull's site? Here's the inside story from Ewald Roithner, the lead pilot. He spoke with AVweb's Paul Bertorelli.

  • I 've been a pilot for 30 years, never did I dream that REDBULL would make it seem like a circus that they have done. The Barnstorming years will never be out done. And BTW, I think their elixir drink tastes like 10w30 motor oil.

  • Nice! I would love to try a glider.

  • One of the best aviation videos I have seen on avweb! Excellent air-to-air footage. Nice length of time.

  • @bushranger51 - wise words. But I am with you on the jealousy though too!

  • omg!!!!!!!!!

  • Being an old glider pilot with many hours in the Blanik certainly brings back many good memories, however NONE that scary, compared to these buggers. I always thought that European Gilder Pilots were crazy but these Austrians are the craziest. The old adage "There are old pilots, and there are bold pilots, but there are no old bold pilots" certainly applies to them. I'm also jealous that they are getting paid to do something they love all the time.

  • its amazing how they do this! lots of talent

  • this is AMAZING! completely unbelievable!

  • freaking awesome

  • I'm absolutely stunned.... Amazing flying and energy-conservation...!
