The hairy claws of these Yeti Crabs (Kiwa puravida) are laden with bacteria. Biologists think that these crabs swing their claws to mix the water column and provide 'their' bacteria with nutrients this way.

This video was shot by a submersible near a methane seep, off the coast of Costa Rica and has is licensed under CC attribution license.
