  • Hey 5string got any more brewing vid's for us, and how did your first brew turn out!

  • @dtadpole Thanks for asking! The IPA we brewed turned out great. I dont think I'd consider a single-hop IPA again with Cluster, but they seem real good for flavor or aroma additions. (late-hopping)

  • The results from brewlaboratory are in. Alpha acid% 6.0, Beta acid% 5.3 and cohumulone 49 which means that we are likely looking at Cascade or Cluster varieties.

Either way this looks like a great all-arounder and I am planning to brew a single hop IPA with them in October.

The total yield was over 15 ounces

  • Very cool. Why not single variety beer with Cluster? Not familiar with Cluster, but planning on doing a single variety with Cascade.

  • That was great! Picking your own hops for the brew is something I'm gonna do too. Thank you again for taking the time to make this video. I really apreciate it. Good luck to you and yours!
