Do some research on the effects of zoos on elephants. The breeding program is a farce. Zoos like to have elephants because elephants are a pawn that guarantees profit. Thats BS.

They swim in the wild anytime they want to. Too bad they have to wait while at a zoo for their number to come up to be taken once a year.

okodorifuto, do some research on that subject. The conditions that elephants are kept in while in a zoo look great to humans but are horrific for the needs of the species. They roam up to 80 miles a day in nature. There is no zoo that has 80 miles, unless you consider walking the same half a mile loop as a good option to a natural 80 mile loop

Zoos are there to prevent animal extintion. So, they must not stop breeding them.

One of the two elephant was an ex circus elephant. You see that strange dance he makes with face and nose (sorry, i don't remember how elephant-nose is called in english :)? It's a typical circus number.
