Drilling a larger diameter hole with a Hougen annular cutter.

The 5100 series AutoDrill shown uses a HydroSpeed to control the feed rate while drilling as well as during the final breakthrough process.

The positive plug ejection system makes sure that the plug created during the drilling process comes out of the cutter. This allows the drill to be used in an automated atmosphere where holes are drilled one after another
without worrying about the plug being stuck in the tooling.

The steel plate being drilled is 3/4" thick.

  • Absolutely.

Please feel free to contact us at 800-871-5022 or 01.908-542-0244 to discuss. The total elimination of a burr is often impossible, but this will at least give you some control over how severe the burr is at the least.
