What Link may lack in technical abilities he makes up with pure COOL. His sound is primal, raw, and badass. Link, Jimi Hendrix and Johnny Winter are my biggest influences and Johnny isn't in the Rock Hall either. Who cares about Rock Hall of Fame bunch of crap anyways those british fags like clapton and jimi page sucked balls.

@Transformers2themax You're the moron. That man influenced many people who are already in that Shit hole. The Hall should be about originals and who they influenced. Not just record sales. Just like Jeff Beck,Clapton,Townsend,Page,Dyl
an,Neil Young,Springsteen and Jerry Garcia influeneced others. They all know who Link was and i'm sure Hendrix knew who he was. Having just his guitar there is an embarrassment. Madonna is in there. What a joke! "Nuff Said". -
@ChrisYonts To you and every one else on here hating on the R&R Hall of Fame and saying Link Wray is "too good" for it--if you morons had even gone there in your lives, you would've seen that they had stuff on him there, including his guitar...He composed some great rockabilly/surf rock, but he wasn't the greatest. Sure, I'd put him up there. But there are a lot of really good guitarists out there. A LOT. Plus, there really is no comparing him to someone like Jimi Hendrix.

what program did you use to make this video? i really like the effect

The fact that Link Wray is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame shows the thing to be sort of a joke. This is the man who invented metal sound! Most of the big name guitar players got their inspiration from him.

46 years old and just as compelling as ever. Supreme rock and roll.

KEEP IT DUSTY

@ChrisYonts If Link doesn't get in then it is a Hall of S...!

@chainlinkray Awesome vid..thanks. Great talent and profound independent artist. His "solo-wolf" attitude should not prohibit his entry into the R&R Hall Of Fame. After all, there would be no modern R&R without his invention of the power chord as well as shades of many artists you can see in his performances! Peter Townshend, Led Zeppelin and Ennio Morricone [spaghetti western] have to thank him for his inspiration! Let me know if you start some sort of INDUCT LINK WRAY action! All hail Link!
