@KiTTeNChaoSS I think that he is not alone. Many didn't even come back. When I speak with someone who fled the country they always talk about coming back but only a few does. I understand it because most of them live better lives there.
I am very interested in learning about my Hungarian Heritage. I have never been to Hungary, but I plan on visiting Budapest where my father was from. My father never went back to Hungary even after the fall of communism. He fled the country to Austria with a bullet wound to his arm. He was aware the communists were looking for him. He was born in 1940 and fled in 56. The Hungary he knew was war torn, many friends killed. I think it was too sad for him.
