Hawaiian Vacation Episode 8

(Nick's POV:)
It's been a month and 13 days since I last day Selena. I missed her so much, I fell for her in only 4 weeks. Think of how those relationships usually last, not long at all but I was hoping to make it work with her. I sighed, walking into my office at my new company, I've been waiting 2 years for it to go up and it did. Biggest company in Hawaii. Finally having a break for a few minutes I checked my email and decided why not call Selena and check in with her. I waited for the ringing.
"Hello?" Selena asked laughing.
I was suprised by her reaction, I didn't think she'd be laughing when she answered, either laughing at me or having fun with someone else.
"Hey, It's Nick..." I stated.
"Oh Hey Nick." Selena's laugh rised up.
"Whats so funny?" I asked.
"No, It's my friend." Selena claimed.
I stayed quiet. I sighed deeply. Depressed at hearing her voice although it should be making me happy.
"Oh, well I miss you." I stated.
"Yeah, I miss you too. Listen, Nick I have to go. I'm a little busy right now. Jason and I are going to see a movie, I'll call you later tonight." Selena said, waiting for my reply.
"Okay. I understand." I tried hiding my miserablitiy.
"Sweet. Bye." Selena hung up.
No I love you? Wow. I leaned into my chair, feeling horrible for this relationship. Who was I kidding? I could never pull off a long distance relationship. I can never follow through with anything I try to stick to.

~~~~~~~~~~~~4 Months Later~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I broke it off with Selena just 2 weeks after that. I eventually moved on to find a new girl. Her name was Marissa, she was everything to me. Marissa had moved from California to Hawaii. We've been dating a month and planned on visiting her parents in California this weekend. She packed her bags and arrived at my new higher, fancier condo.
"Hey baby." Marissa smiled walking into my room.
"Hello Gorgeous." I smiled back.
Marissa slid her arms around my waist and tucked her head on my shoulder. Smiling.
"Do you really think that I am ready to meet the parents already?" I asked.
"Of course. My parents aren't like your usual girlfriends parents. Mine are so accepting. They are super nice and they don't stay on your case." Marissa whispered.
"Okay, I believe you." I turned myself around, facing her.
Marissa smiled goofy, I laughed and kissed her lips softly, then pulling away before she could kiss me back.
"I love you." I smiled.
"I love you too. Hurry up, our flights at 6 and we still have to get dinner." Marissa pulled out of my arms, walking out of my room.
I sighed, shoving the rest of the clothes on my bed into the suitcase and setting it outside the door of my room. I stepped into the living room. I turned to the clock. 4:34.
"Lets go Beautiful." I waited near the door.
Marissa stood up from the couch and walked around toward me and out the door. After dinner was through, we went back got the suitcases then drove off to the airport.
"Mariss...." I sighed.
"Nick, chill. My parents aren't that huge on me anyway. I wasn't the best child, I grew up after I moved away. My sister on the other hand, was always the mature one. Even when she was 12." Marissa stared out the window.
"Well, What was it about you that wasn't grown up yet?" I asked.
"Well.. It isn't exactly that I wasn't grown up yet. I flew with the wrong crowd. I did things I shouldn't have but you know what, I honestly don't regret it. Because If I regretted it, I might not be where I am right now." Marissa smiled at me as I pulled into the airport parking lot.
An hour later, we we're up in the air heading to California.
As I sat in my chair next to Marissa, I began to think of everything, as I began to think, I remembered Selena. Selena was from California. I hoped that in these 5 months that she's moved away from California. So I didn't have a change of bumping her.

I woke up laying in the bed at Marissa's parents guest house. Marissa next to me, I slid out from the covers, took a shower and it was 7:30, I slid into clothes and walked around the city. Her parents place was huge but I decided to just walk around the city. I walked down to the beach which was up the street and completely around the corner. I walked by the water, then got bored pretty quickly. I walked across the street to Starbucks, where I decided to get coffee for Marissa and I then head back to the house. I ordered and paid for the coffees on my way out I stummbled into someone and coffee spilt all over me.
"Oh my gosh, I am so, so sorry!" She exclaimed, holding her hand out, giving me the hint she wanted to try and help me so I wouldn't be mad.
"No, It's okay." I sighed, pulling my shirt away from my body.
"No, It's not. I'm sorry." She jumped for napkins and dabbed my shirt, trying to dry and get as much out as she could.
As her dabs began to get softer, I looked up to catch her looking at me, her face amazed by me.
