@Tannre40V2T what does a whelen om 120 look like
-
needs better bearings
-
There is a website that says that, but they were supposed to go off at 7PM; they were manually set off and so were inconsistent on time. However, in the summer of 2008, they got a set of newer sirens, and don't do any more siren testing.

I read on their website that the siren sounds every wednesday at 7:30PM?

I was in Seaside recently and they had 2 Model 5's and 2 Whelen OM-120's. They must of replaced this STH-10.
-
Yeah, definatly a Model 5, the STH-10 and Model 5 may have the same ports, but there's a distinctive sound the Model 5 has that an STH-10 doesn't. Also, the wind up and wind down are FAR too quick.
-
Do they use the Model 5 for the Wednesday tests? And I thought they tested them at 7:30
-
I think you are hearing a Model 5. That STH-10 winds down longer than a Model 5 does.
Maybe the STH-10 you recorded here is disconnected or failed?
-
I've been by this siren in person! I toured with a choir a few summers ago and we did some shopping in downtown Seaside at some outdoor mall place and I believe this was just north or northwest of where we went.
I see an STH-10 but I'm hearing a Model 5.

Do STH-10 sirens sound different? As far as I know, all the sirens in Seaside sound the same.
