At this moment there are 9 likes and 3 dislikes for this video and I was wondering whether people who disliked it did so because they did not find it informative or because they do not like Mint Lisa RC. It is a shame if it is the latter, because the video is definitely informative and is a great way to preview the system without bothering to install it. Keep up the great work!

@InstallLinuxNow Depends what you're after, fair enough in terms of Gaming there aren't many decent payfor games available for Linux. For most other apps there are some decent professional apps available.

I used ubuntu 11.10 for several months. I finally tried the 64bit gnome+mate, I must say it is awesome.

@InstallLinuxNow What do you mean? Did you know that many financial institutions, Google, eBay, and NASA use Linux for their applications. It is not about commercial software. If you wanted commercial software, be prepared to spend at least $600 US Dollars in Windows Server. Linux in the desktop is just as great as Windows XP. YouTube is also on Linux, just likes its parent Google.
How about Android? Android is based on the Linux kernel, they just modified the OS to suit mobile devices

Um, that was pretty quick for gimp which has huge libraries

@InstallLinuxNow I'm a professional web developer and have been for a number of years. Firstly i have to say to create a good website you will never need to use flash, ever... HTML5 and JavaScript do all that's needed.
Secondly to create a web site on an OS that runs majority of websites makes sense, anyone that runs any lamp environment on windows are just emulating.
Linux increases my work-rate no end and i was brought up on windows. Get the right distro for you and you'll never go back!

@InstallLinuxNow its a good alternative for everyday users who use it for office and web browsing only. my parents can even use it :)
Is it still possible to use the search feature in the mintMenu to search the repositories and install applications?

@almigi Doesn't look like it. The Gnome Shell searcher can search installed apps, Google, and Wikipedia.
The Gnome Classic searcher in the new Mint Menu only searches installed apps

@tostoday I nearly did, I had a MicroSD card cleared ready to install Mint onto, but I decided to try one last trick in Virtualbox.
