Serena Williams has officially qualified for the 2012 TEB BNP Paribas WTA Championships Istanbul after her US Open Grand Slam title win on September 9, 2012. Williams has qualified for the WTA Championships on nine occasions during her career, and is set to compete for the first time since 2009.

And you know what, she was injured for a year, and she came back winning 2 SLAMS and Olympic GOLD medal + she defeated everyone from the TOP-8! isn't it enough to be called THE GREATEST?!

I agree! As a big fan of Sharapova and Serena, I must say Maria is the Queen of Tennis but Serena Williams is the GODDESS of Tennis. :) Hope they can make a great match at Istanbul if ever
