Haha oh man I was like "Man that looks familiar... *reads description* oh Macross! :D" I'm building the X-gear from Macross Frontier. What type of foam material did you use? and how did you start? did you draw a layout on paper first? I thik the hardest part will be the wings. What do you recommend I do? any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

You have a little challenge on your hand, but that's apart of the fun!
Use the lightest materials possible! I used cardboard, foam & THICK construction paper. Cut to desired look. Then use Crazy & Gorilla glue to put it all together. Gorilla is best b/c it's strong and doesn't melt foam, but beware that it puffs up when it drys. After getting the pieces put together test fit the pieces then buy some vinyl cloth and wrap it. This will give it a smooth look especially after you paint it!!!

Crossing fingers you have a girl dressing like Yoko Ritona to follow you around!!
P.S. You will need someone to to help u get in and out of the suit and the occasional wiping of the sweat off your brow.
If you need any more detailed help along the way, let me know!!! Also go to your local used sporting goods. You can find helmets and gloves that will work well with the costume!! Check out the Hockey and Baseball stuff.
