Norfolk Southern H31 - A Tribute

H31 has always been a favorite local of mine, for many reasons: big bold horn action, great vintage power, and an awesome crew who gets an important job done!
April 21, 2008: Conrail SD40-2 NS 3439 (at one time a Pennsylvania Railroad SD40R) and NS High-Hood GP38-2 5125 take a load of cars for the ELK Corp. and Lebanon Seaboard Co.
April 23, 2008: ExCentral of Georgia High-Hood SD40-2, now NS 3294 and Conrail SD40-2 NS 3439 are power for the Monday through Friday train.
ENJOY the big bold horn action from the Leslie S3L and P3 horn! The engines sound great also!

Great horn and color, the Salisbury Switcher down here is always cool since it uses smaller power and a caboose.

Put two SD40-2 to pull small trains like these is a complete waste of power! Just one GP38-2 is enough for these trains. Nice video, it's always good to see a high nose leading a train!

Great job, Eric! Seems H31 ALWAYS has good power! I wish H48 would run with the Ex-CR 6 axle power.
