World of Sport is the name of the TV show. The matches seen in it were hosted by Joint Promotions (pretty much the british NWA), the show was cancelled in 1985 which lead to Joint Promotions folding in 1988. There's still a couple of traditional wrestling promotions in Britain doing shows, such as ASW or Premier Promotions.
