  • The ones you claimed were based on isis are nothing like the isis heads. The first set are very close... I think the difference is that they're longer and they go the other way, the top of the heads being different from the rest of the knot, apparently for durability.

Could I ask how heavy the flowpoi with the crystal cases and the flowmasses are? :)

  • Yeah! I never actually seen isis in person.

So i'm not the one to know. But the ones you said looked more like the Isis are actually the way they make isis poi (but salza doesn't have those fraid ends) i later found out. Salza just uses a much smaller size rope. The ones a made are much too heavy as well. I'll get back to you on the weight of the flowmass later.

  • The isis heads have the frayed ends tucked more neatly into the bottom and the tops of them are as I said, different, but yeah it looks exactly the same.

Cheers for the weight, its not really any rush, tis just idle curiousity.

  • Yeah. I dont really have a scale to weigh them on. but ill try to find a common object that have about the same weight.

  • hi dude like the way the ends of the second set of fire poi have been finished off and yes for anyone wanting to have a go i posted a video on how i made mine look forward to more from you. All things good jez

  • Yeah! Thanks again for posting those videos? Those are my new favorite pair! They are much lighter then I expected! Have you burned yours yet?

  • @johndhaive for 2 heads like that I'd say about 4 lengths of 9ft rope

  • hey dude, how many meters or feet of 3/8's did you use on each strand on that first poi head that looks like the isis? that was only two strands you used right? i wanna make one but cant get any 3/8's rope here for me to practice! philippines sux sometimes.... no variety of ropes and all.. hehehe!

  • I can't tell from the video, but I know for a fact (because I use them) that Home Of Poi chains are completely welded.

  • thank you for answering. yes, i thought same so. but primary i need to know, if they are they completely welded? (either these in the video or those from home of poi) - do you know this?

  • They look very similar to Home Of Poi's chains, they come in either an electroplated black (for invisible chains when you spin) or shiny nickel (for awesome lines when you stall).

  • thank you for sharing.

one question i've got, coz i did not get the right point in the video - are these chains in your fire poi completely welded? - if so, could you give me the link, where you got them from? thank you

  • Trim the fray off the ends. I have been weaving something similiar. Haven't found the triangle quick links though.... wonder where the weaver got those? The weave I have beeen doing creates massive flame, and good balance. I have only released a few as of yet.... but working on mass production. I will make a video of my poi soon. The socks, the flames, and link up. I think as our craft evolves, so will our equipment, and the style. Here's to evolution, of fire, dance, human, and equipment.
