A two part tutorial on how to play Beirut's song Nantes on the accordion. The third part of the tutorial shows how to play the song in the key of D minor (Dm).

Please see my previous video (New Left Hand Technique - Beirut Nantes) for instructions on playing the left hand rhythm.

Have fun playing this beautiful song!

  • It's an Israeli accent that rears it's head whenever I'm excited about something.

  • You're a really good teacher! One of the better tutorials I've seen on youtube! I especially like the help at the end on how to bring the two parts together because really thats the most difficult part and a lot of videos just say "Now just put it all together! The end!"

  • I would just like to thank you for showing us accordion music lovers how to play. I am at the moment trying to teach myself how to read music and I must say it is tough going. I play by ear. No pain, no gain I guess is true. A wonderful tutorial video. Thanks!!!

  • @moshezuchter next time i want more accent !

  • @moshezuchter tiye bari!

  • For people with a 120 bass note accordion (standard?) and who may not have the reach to press the buttons at the bottom, they are also at the top of the accordion bass notes. The player for Beirut himself actually uses these top buttons.

  • hey this is great! im excited to try it!

  • I can tell that you love Beirut as much as I have for years, such wonderful wonderful music! I can't wait for my husband to learn these parts on his accordion so we can duet with my uke :)

  • you are the best thing i've seen in youtube lately.

My grandma has an accordion so i'm gonna try it. Beirut it's a great band, so thank you very much for all of this. You are great musician, and i am so in love with your voice.
