Still working after 25 years? No wonder. These machines were built to last.
Now if only HP could learn their lesson on how to properly build a reliable laptop then I wouldn't be forking out $1000+ to buy a HP Pavilion every 6 months.

@CaptainPoovabladoo You know it!

@MacinStitch If you want to leave the network card in there try moving it to an unused slot (other than 3) that is lower in number from the disk controller. Another trick, to get a better picture in that program you may want to set the monitor to white only (kill color) to get rid of the color fringes.

@HalonProductions For even more fun type CALL-151 from the BASIC prompt and you will enter a low-level mode where you can program using straight hexadecimal opcodes. This was the painful option for back in the day when you couldn't afford an Assembler.
2$ for all of that? Thats A Great deal!

@coolcatevan9 Incredible deal indeed.

Remove the network card and it won't try a network boot. It seems that your network adapter is in slot 7 (assuming the disk controller is on 6). All apple ii systems with an autostart ROM (II+ or higher and upgraded base II systems) start with slit 7 and go backwards looking for a disk controller.

@jrmcferren Interesting. I'll look into it. Maybe I'll post a video of the results. Thanks.

It can't boot without a floppy in the drive, right?

@HalonProductions Yes you must have a program disk to start using it. If I had it connected to the internet with the geoport it would boot to a network via the internet on a //e. Since this one was from a school, it connected to the network before loading a disk.
