@Q3t3sh Yeah. He was later sued by Scarlatti himself.

i think emotion is the most important part of music, technical perfection is not always needed to evoke emotions. in horowitz i find a lot of emotion

@poliseno He plays wrong notes, so what? I advise you to not listen to Cortot if this bothers you. It should be the interpretation that counts right? As music lovers we can differentiate beween different interpretations because of the artistry that the pianist has incorporated into his music. On the other hand, you could let a monkey pick out wrong notes in a performance.

how can you like this? ok, he was a great pianist, but here he makes A LOT of errors

Can you translate into English? I am trying to learn to recognize the Russian alphabet.

Those hands are beautiful to watch.

Listen to the layers of sound that he creates. Even at his softest pianissimo he's playing with great contrast between the melody and accompaniment, meaning some lines are practically ppppp. Yet every note, even within these deeper layers still has meaning. Wonderful! Thanks for posting.

my humble opinion: in music there is no 'should' and 'supposed to'. music would (have) never develop(ed) if people would stick to that. after all, it's a beautiful piece of music, interpreted by an outstanding artist.
