I learned this technique when I was living in a certain place, where after a certain hour it became necessary to play quietly. That place was my mother's basement.

I'm not in full understanding where the paper towel is.

@obentozai Basically you just place it underneath the strings and slide it all the way back to the saddle. And the mute has to be thick enough so that it stays pinned beneath the strings and the soundboard :)

@93californication Some people just have very strong nails, I remember my guitar teacher did not have strong nails, so he always went to a nail studio where they put this strange liquid on it that made them a bit stronger.
