  • Do you use Virus TI as midi controller?

  • yes, virus is only controller in this video...

  • feelda you know the virus is crap compared to the v-synth xt right ???

the v-synth sounds more realer and more warmer sounds coming from it than the the virus,

plus v-synth has a good few thousand more sounds that virus does,

  • well, I would be careful comparing these two... each has something that the other one doesn't... virus doesn't have drums or sampler... v-synth doesn't have wavetable synthesis etc.. and as far as I know, virus has A-S sound banks each containing 128 sounds, and v-synth has about 600 preset sounds..

  • Not really. V-Synth is on a higher level than a Virus.

I got both and you can't really compare them, as others said.

The V-synth sounds like a Roland flagship (and that is a VERY good thing). Especially on the low end it's a mighty fat beast, and I managed to recreate a lot of my Juno sounds). Plus, it has those sample mangling capabilities.

The Virus is also a flagship synth and can sound like an old analog synth, but mainly sounds like a virus. (which is also a VERY good thing) Short: V-Synth goes noooong, Virus goes neaaaong :)

  • @djjohnny2108 which one crashes less?

  • Is it true there is some zippering/stepping on the filter cut of , when controlled from the panel controllers ?

mate if you like glitchy hip hop then V-synth XT as the time trip pad is ace for crating that warped sound. I would try a few and see what works for you. the ti is also good as it has some other shit. my be i should answer the question when i am more sober.

  • @owenkitto27 ive been debating on which to get firs between the virus ti polar or v synth xt. i'll eventually have both but which one do you think can wait? I produce glitch hip hop and electro.

  • Roland create a monster every 10 years or so like the Jupiter, the D-50 and the V-synth is the last kick ass from Roland from the past years.

Yes the Access Virus is German Technology but Roland is Japanese .

Both built with "asianwide" components, Taiwan, China, malaysia, etc.

Behringer is also German brand built with same asianwide components and are very low entry level products, the difference remain in the electronic design and built quality.

  • i love watching people bitch on you-tube I personally own both the virus TI and the v-synth XT and there both fat as fuck. good video by the way :)

  • the second beat was fat.. just more bass ;)

  • v synth is for wannabes who actually end up gigging in working mens clubs and cruise ships if their lucky - the virus is used on virtually every hit dance song period.

  • @biopharmer,

are you kidding me? virus is a hyped up german synth. I might as well buy something from behringer.

roland is an amazing japanese company with a rich tradition and history behind, not a newbie analog-wanna-be warehouse called access music.

i once owned a virus and after i got propellerheads reason (reason was also influenced by rebirth, which was imitation of famous roland synths!), i gave up on the virus...because propellerheads sounds same or better (esp THOR).
