This is a rare FELT Racing Chopper that I converted to a crystalyte motor, this has a 36v x 10ah NiMH with a range at about 20 miles give or take...

  • I used a brushed motor kit from Crystalyte ( but I'd suggest using a brushless from them... Also I bought NiMH 36v worth of batteries with tabs and made a battery pack or look online for a recent supplier... Used some heavy telephone pole zip ties to

Mount pack( can get at hardware store ) it ran great! If you can go 48v pack and controller will be a little more spunky and better range...

  • Wow, that's an awesome bike! Would be really cool to see a vid of someone riding it! You ever upgrade the motor?

  • @jjc032681 I should have... at the moment, It is back as regular bike in storage and I used the electrics on another bike I made for someone... as for faster, I did build a much faster bike with speeds in the 40mph range, and about 20 mile riding range... was great bike! rode it for 18 months, sold for what I had in it.. saved TONS of money! If I had it now Id save 2 times as much! lol parts same cost, gas 2 times the cost!

  • Cool bike.

How much did the bike alone cost ?

  • @C9H13NO3Adrenaline The Bike Originally was 899.00 ith a 3 speed SRAM,, I bought the bike with a custom chromoly crankset... that was 230.00 but not necessary just had it.. and looked nice! Aparantly the Blue Felt is very rare at least in USA...

  • oh, and did you buy it at you´r local dealer, or online ?.

  • @C9H13NO3Adrenaline no I bought the Felt second hand from a friend who was in a riding club I was in... rode it for awhile normally aspirated... then converted it to electrics... I might convert it to a much faster motor soon... :-)

  • Wow. I have this bike, but its not the blue one. I wanna do that

  • Dear dparham,

I have the same bike like you.

Could you please tell me what what exactly I have to order (buy) to have the same thing like you? How much would the the total cost for this action =)

    Thank you so much

    Jocika

  • @dparham lol very true with the gas..40mph is very impressive! I've been having horrible luck with my past couple cars, not to mention all the gas money spent on old bangers. I live about 10 miles away from work, and thing i'm going to save up to get an e-bike..i figure if I can find something that does at least around 30, I'll be set. Are you still building lately?

  • @MrChopp3r Ebikes.ca has everything you would want and they are in Canada. I suggest the nine continents or the ezee kits. The nine continents will last forever(almost) but it doesn't freewheel completely(its like a 3mph headwind). The ezee freewheels but eventually you will have to replace the gears(2 years or so). Hope I helped

  • cool bike,i'm looking for a setup to convert 2 bikes but i can't find an electric kit for a 20 inch wheel in toronto canada, can you help me ?

  • change those battery to lithium polymer and you ll go faster(take 36 v battery pack from cordless tool (tip:they are yellow the one with lipo)
