It looks to me like it's been taken apart and put back together. the direction changer and the socket stud should be on opposite sides.

Those old I-beam SnapOn's have something like...4 clicks per quarter turn. Very chunky mechanism that doesn't lend itself well to tight working angles. If you can't swing it more than 10 deg you ain't taking nothing apart. A good US brand ratchet will click 8 times per quarter turn.

i like all the big name brand tools my self but i prefer craftsman. they are more of my price range, and as long as they have there lifetime handtool warranty i will still buy them. nice snap on ratchet thow, i would love to have some tools that old.

yeh i mean for me if i was to have a tool break its fine i usally depending on the type can fuind a way around but if i was a mechinic or a over the road mechinic i couldnt have tools break
