For a research project in the Department of Computer Science at UofT I had to take a game of choice and find a cooler way of interacting with it. I chose Battlefield2 and the Nintendo Wii. This is my final video submission. Playing BF2 Wii style is much more fun, and certainly was more enjoyable then writing a history paper..

  • wha was the wrapper application written in?

    c++ or c?

  • C++, using existing libraries that hooked into the VICON, it wasn't more than a few hundred lines of code that just smoothed input, and hooked into BF2

  • GO NERDS @ UofT. Is this equipment at the downtown campus?

  • Yep, the DGP in BA is a magical room with equipment from the future... 3d printer, coolest thing ever.

  • So to use this I need 50 HD cameras?

  • Haha, at least 5-6. This was never meant to be an everyday solution. ;)

  • As to be expected from a U of T student. This is amazingly cool.

  • This was actually a research project, every year certain profs let you work with them, which is much more fun and rewarding then normal courses IMO. I did this one with Ravin Balakrishnan. The course code is csc490
