As part of the effort to shave state expenses, Governor Schwarzenegger Friday ordered the state's motor vehicle fleet be reduced by 15 percent and sold off to combat reports of "waste and abuse" by state employees.
Schwarzenegger instructed each state agency and department to do a thorough fleet survey and identify unneeded cars and trucks to be sold at a giant "garage sale" in Sacramento late next month.
