From the makers of In Search of Mozart and In Search of Beethoven, filmmaker Phil Grabsky and his company Seventh Art Productions are now embarking on In Search of Haydn to explore the most elusive of the three Viennese composers.

In his lifetime Haydn achieved a degree of fame that easily surpassed that of Mozart and Beethoven. Yet today in concert halls he is often overshadowed in favour of his younger contemporaries. By speaking to the world's leading experts of Haydn's music, this film intends to readdress the balance and to shed light on the great composer and his work.
