Basic Instinct is the upcoming fourth studio album by American recording artist Ciara. The album is set to be released on December 10, 2010 by LaFace, and sees the singer returning to her urban roots, as it features R&B cuts and bass-heavy dance tracks. The album is executively produced by the singer alongside her A&R agent Mark Pitts and writing/production duo Tricky Stewart and The-Dream who, also produced records for her previous album Fantasy Ride. It also features production by Soundz and T-Minus, and features guest appearances by Ludacris and Usher.

I have always supported Ciara's music since day one. Never been a SEASONAL fan & I appreciated her musical growth (with her first 3 albums). While this is a good album, it wasnt great. The Evolution was her best work & Fantasy Ride was actually a pretty stellar album. I find it funny that ppl wanted Ciara to go back to this kind of sound after FR & yet still downed her when she did it. smh. The problem really isn't Ciara or her music its her FANBASE; they're not loyal enough.

Like most...I loved her first two cds. I barely listened to Fantasy Ride cuz most of it sucked; however, this cd is better than Fantasy Ride. Even though Basic Instinct isn't great, I think shes on a rise to better things for the next album. I love her and wish her great success in the future.

This album is good. Not her best work, I think The Evolution was the best, but I think it should have gone farther than it did. 37,000 copies in it's first week wasn't deserving of an album that sounds mainstream.

WTF.. i GUARANTEE dis album wouldn't have flop if it wusnt for da people out there only eyeing on beyonce, lady gaga, or rihanna. itz not fair game. & I even beleive dat dis album is better than rihanna's.
