  • i can't get my slide retainer to line up with the pin hole wth

  • @docyoung81 on my C9, I have to put it in at an angle, because the slide ends up getting in the way of the retainer pin by a little bit.

  • Excellent post. Very Helpful. I have the Hipoint 45 and C9. Also I have the 995TS carbine and I LOVE em! Great info on cleaning. I think I need to disassemble and clean mine today. I also think I was over oiling. Thanks again!

  • @ctbobx Thanks! I want to get one of their carbines. Haven't got to shoot one yet.

  • I have a hi-point 9mm with the compensator, I have taken it off the compensator at the end, once i take out the slide retainer pin and move the slide upwards to take it off, the slide doesn't come off, it will not fit over the 1/2 inch barrel that protrudes out, therefore the slide doesn't come off... any ideas as to how to remove the slide over the barrel?

  • @PDT1257 I've never seen the one with the compensator. This is just a guess, but i'm wondering if when you take the slide retainer pin out, lift the back end up as far as it will go, and then remove the slide retainer (part 8) by sliding it out, as it should easily do so since it does not have a pin in it. Then once that's out you probably can drop the slide back down and then push it forward to remove it. Hope this helps!
