"Catholic"? Hmmmm. That's what a lot of anti-Catholic "Catholics" say. Maureen Dowd of the New York Times is an example of the hypocrites who call themselves Catholic so as to freely vent against everything Catholic. You are fanatically anti-papal and the papacy and communion is at the basis of what being Catholic is just as much as belief in Jesus and the Apostolic Faith.

Yeah, Mr Pacelli (Pius XII.) kissed Franco's ass, Hitler's ass and Ante Paveliç's ass. After 1945 he hated Hitler because Hitler didn't succeed in defeating the evil, evil communists. Mr Pacelli will burn in hell.

I googled up Coren and read his Wikipedia writeup. A little confusing! His Father was a devout Jew. Coren's mother's side was also Jewish. Myself, I have always inferred that Michael Coren is fully Jewish. He always speaks admiringly about his Father's being a cab driver. He has often mentioned that he became Catholic about 1985. He has a new book about 'Marriage' including, I do believe, his ideas re Same Sex Marriage. A retired Catholic priest in Canada. You can watch him on You Tube!

Michael Coren, a Jewish convert to Catholicism, has recently written a book "It's Right To Be Catholic". One chapter is devoted to Pius XII and the Pope's real story, especially His protection and love of the Jewish People is well documented. The Chief Rabbi of Rome, after the War, became himself a Catholic, partly because of his gratitude towards this Pope for his help of the Jews during WWII. On one occasion Pius XII publically told a visiting Jewish man, "Always be proud of being Jewish."
