@Lagtane1 Not sure if you're still looking as this post is quite old but I'll dish out the info I've got anyway! Good darbuka players in the UK that I know of are Guy Schalom and Numan Elyer... they are based in London - not sure if there's anyone in the Midlands. Eli Nott is also very good and does a lot of teaching (again London though). WOMAD (in Malmesbury - may be closer for you!) also has workshops run by Chas Whitaker... Hope some of that helps!

Hi..I need your guidance on something.
I am in the process of ordering a Gawharet el fan Darbuka but as you know..they are very prone to chipping and cracking...What make would you recommend for gigs ?
Sound quality must not be compromised at all. I appreciate your help in advance.

no im not. Im not sure of any good players or teachers over there either....??? Have you checked out the fingers of fury website? There's over 100 videos on the site now + a fantastic ebook...check it out!)
