His voice is exceedingly beautiful. So easy, pure, passionate!

I can't listen to this piece enough. Everytime I hear it, it's like a prayer to the art of music. Thank you music - you have been in my life from the beginning and I think I will leave this world hearing music

wow, this is amazing... i am going to be singing this song and so i was looking for a recording so that i can hear the melody line and memorize it and this has been the best recording so far :D i havent started singing it in german yet because first i want to understand fully and know the meaning of the text so that i might sing it from my heart not just from memory, but this is truely amazing :)

@kenmorris Thank you for your beautiful words! ...I'm agree absolutely!

@seektheforce WOW! They're kind-of like at opposite ends of technique levels required - An Die Musik is a difficult, difficult lied to perform effortlessly. They took it off ABRSM grade 8 and moved it to the teaching diploma level. caro mio ben is simple and beautiful, and I bet you knocked them dead with it!
Fritz's voice is shockingly beautiful. As usual, had heard loads about, but never got round to listening. Loved it.

「楽に寄す」今から30年前、高校の選択音楽で習いました。
今でも憶えてます。多分小中高で習ったの全ての歌曲の中でも
一番だと思います。。。

@joanabanyeres I decided to do Caro Mio Ben instread. It went rather well. I'm currently in college studying vocal performance :)

An die Musik - This astonishing miracle from Schubert's pen, and his friend Franz Schober's words, sums up everything beautiful about Musik and what the ancient Greeks idealized as Art, and in their concepts of storge, philos and agape. The German language fits the notes like a glove, something that I, as one of Italian extraction, have a hard time admitting. The words are INHERENTLY splendid, in any language. I will give an attempt at an Italian translation because Italian is, well, so lovely.

A wonderful interpretation of this sublime lied! And for a superb version with a female voice, listen to Dame Janet Baker, accompanied by Murray Perahia.
O God how Beautiful !

Hello people, I am doing An die Musik at our local, state festival. I was wondering if there were any pieces at a similar skill level to this one, in terms of range and breath control.
