ABC News Orthorexia report pt1 by John Stossel. This video talks about people who suffer from an over obsession of eating only organic vegetables but it has a strange twist. If you are a doctor or biologist can you tell me if you medical school or bio labs or university did studies on this?

  • @newanatolia I used to like John Stossel until I saw this broadcast. It's like interviewing one Fred Phelps or a suicide bomber and using it to build a whole case against ALL religion. This program was poorly (if at all) researched.

  • I'm orthorexic. I used to be very underweight and had anorexic thoughts but was never diagnosed with AN. Then I put on quite a bit because I had deprived myself of all the foods my body was craving; sugar, fat. 1. Interview the weirdest looking, most extreme representative of what you seek to vilify.

    2. Interview the cute reformed representative of "common sense".

  • @FisherCynge I'm not a car or a bicycle so I don't need oils. Where does it say that you need to eat more omega 3s? Why don't you just eat less omega 6 and balance it out? There are plenty of fats in fruits and veggies that provide what you need. You don't need to be a nutrient searcher. Just eat a whole foods, plant based diet and you will get everything you need. Keep the fat under 10% of total cals and your good to go bro.

  • @Jordonified So? They don't have high protein and essential oils in them the way salmon does.

  • I don't understand why she'd say fruit is too high in sugar! Pop is too high in sugar REFINED sugar. Fruit has natural occurring sugar which is DIFFERENT and not DANGEROUS!
