Nice! I'm just starting out on the drums - do you always have your hi hat locked down really close together? I haven't figured out how to play the double bass pedal and control my hi hat at the same time, I'm wondering if you have any good tips. Nice video, I'm gonna use it to practice!

@jonathanabernathy Hey thanks for watching. No, I locked the hi hat down like that just to play these examples. There's not really a way to play them at the same time, unless you keep both pedals real close together and have a hell of a coordination lol. Usually drummers that intend to play double bass and closed hats use two different hi-hats, one controlled by his feet, and another one open (or closed) at all times. I hope this helps. Thank you!

@yoshiskato It could be either because you don't let your legs rest or because you play using an improper technique. I would advise you to work out your leg muscles and do some stretching.
