Two Weeks after Christmas is a take on "The Night Before Christmas", a poem almost everyone has read to their kids at least ounce. If you have any trouble understanding the words, I'll right them out down below.
Lyrics
t'was two weeks after Christmas
where all through the house
not a stocking was hung
not even for santa mouse
the christmas lights down
and the wreath packed away
the mistletoe wilting
and the tree gone Christmas day
The children were playing
with their new toys
their parents annoyed
with all of the noise
the eggnog half empty
the cookies gone bad
the turkey was soft
which was really quit sad
the movies were watched
and the picture books read
with NORAD TS over
all santa sites dead
All was put in the garage
everything gone
till the year afterward
when Christmas season dawns
but I had to explain
as the Christmas time ended
"I'm actually quit glad
the christmas spirit's suspended.
"Christmas is special
'Caus it comes once a year.
If it was every day
there'd be no holiday cheer!
"Christmas is about family,
about friendship and love.
The people who think it's about gifts
I'm just sick of.
"So I hope you had a marry Christmas,
with family and friends,
'caus it's 2012
that's when the world ends!
