Sabbath rest

Do you remember the days before Sunday trading? Whether you liked it or not, Sundays certainly felt different to the rest of the week a time for family, a time for a gentler pace, a time for gardening, a time for God?

We asked some ordinary people if its important to keep one day special and if rest is more than about having a day off, and this is what they said.

I don't quite understand... Do Christians call Sunday a Sabbath? I know that Jesus came back to life on a Sunday... but does that change the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday? Our calendars show Saturday as the seventh day, does not the word Sabbath mean 7? Perhaps I'm wrong.

Why do you need a day of rest to remember creation or our Creator? I look around and see His creation. My creative works remind me of His creativities. My daily works reminds me of His works. My find my rest in Jesus Christ and there is peace, joy and love.

@shoftim some do, some don't. Christian's have communal worship on a Sunday and over the years that became seen as the day of rest. But to call Sunday the Sabbath isn't universally accepted or used.

Everybody need a day rest! God give us special the sabbathday so that we can rest and remember the beautiful creation.... from our great Creator Jesus, He give the sabbath to remember Him on this day. So this why I keep the sabbath and not the sunday. But look on my chanel there you find a answer .... :-)
