SWARAJ EXPRESS NEGOTIATING VAITARNA BRIDGE, RAILWAY STATION AND GIGANTIC CURVE

On a chilly winter evening, 12472 Jammu Tawi Bandra Terminus Swaraj Express with impressive BL WCAM-2P# 21863 climbs South Vaitarna bridge, speeds past Vaitarna station, takes a small sharp curve, rushes past my camera at above 100kph and in the end makes its way towards Virar by negotiating the giant curve. With Western Railway expected to be under AC power in a short time and before WAP4 takes charge of 12471/12472, I wanted to do the best coverage of hard working WCAM2P's which have served WR with a smile for 16 years. This was the main reason to visit Vaitarna.
