Obama's not too shabby in a brutal interview. Four parts.

  • Geez, isn't that a little strong? Why such hatred of O'Reilly? I think he's a rude, crude, obnoxious, megalomaniacal, insincere, intellectually dishonest ultra-partisan. But I reserve death wishes for the likes of bin Laden.

For O'Reilly, I'd be happy with lower ratings.

  • obama will win..get over it

  • We'll see. The polls suggest you're right, but there are reasons to believe the polls might fail to reflect the result this time. Many people who are telling the pollsters they'll vote for Obama might actually vote for McCain when the choice must be made on voting day.

Despite people's distaste for them, the grotesque scare tactics being employed by McCain's campaign might just work. People vote more with their emotions than with critical thinking. Scare the sheep, and the sheep will run.

  • Obama showed a lot of restraint not to punch him in the face. O'Reilly's a total jackass.

  • o'reilly has his purpose. he champions a very unpopular cause and although his opinions constitute what the vast majority find utterly unreasonable/evil, he is very articulate and not impressed easily, he uniquely makes a very good devils-advocate when cross-examining celebrity pundits and messianic politicians like obama or steven colbert, two guys who needless to say passed their respective by o'reilly trials.

  • Damn people were actually like this decades and decades ago in the past...except not just one guy with a show: everyone! I'm so thankful reason overcame fear. Fuck yes.

  • O'reilly is not interested in listening to Obama's answers. He's purely interested in elevating himself as a hard-ass interviewer, forcing the answers he wants out of Obama. He will never hear what is being said because his big fat ego has inflated to the point of plugging his ears.

  • Obama did a awesome job in this interview. As soon as he noticed Oreilly was trying to lead him to the dumps, he stopped and refocused on his message.

That's essentially what OReilly does for a living. He wanted to drive the conversation and lead you to a deadend. As soon as Obama detected the pattern, he changed course.

This goes to show you that Obama is head and shoulders above the other candidates. Do not underestimate this talent, as it becomes very useful in international relations.

  • Die in a fire, O'Reily. Well...that's mean. LEt's have the fire be crafted with coloured tissue paper, like some sort of 4th grade Halloween project. And then let's add dancers, with thongs, and circus people...

  • i think obama did a good job. and no question, Bill O'Reilly did a good job. its the job of the media to ask hard questions. this interview serves obama far better than all the 'friendly' media.
