  • For those of you North Star fans out there.......do you remember when fights broke out at the old Met Center? Do you remember what song would blare accross the arena? You got it, I hope Brian Bellows and Dino Ciccarelli got credit in the royalties!

  • Makes me want a Grain Belt!

  • My relative, Jim Novak, used to play drums for these guys. I've never met him, but I hear he's a cool guy.

  • Minnesota was so much fun in the 70's early 80's. Our own teams with homegrown tunes. Political correctness nowhere in sight, Fun summers, great hockey seasons. If not at the game, then at TWrights in Deephaven watching playoff hockey with a packed house!

  • Hell yeah, Tim YOung, Younghans, Hartsburg, Willie Plett, Dino Ciccerelli, Bobby Smith, Shmyrsy......... Bitchin' times, great memories!!!!

  • Hey, just to let everyone know, Pat Hayes was a force of nature on the harmonica. I saw the band three times when I was in Minneapolis. The "sound" , big, was incredible. It was a musical treat to hear musicians of this caliber was ecstasy.

This was during what I consider some of the greatest times for the music scene in Minneapolis. What a great time to be living in Minneapolis during the 80's.

    Taterboy

  • Danced my heart out all over the Twin Cities. I was a lucky girl!!

    I cannot find "Each Time I Fall"...What a SONG

  • Great Song, I will always remember when the Northstars hit the ice right before the game started at the Met Center, Upper Mississippi River Shakedown rocked the house, those were the days

  • Yes! the Cabooze, good grief, 2 for 1, as I recall you didn't even get a glass, the beer can just slid across the counter. Didn't know it at the time, but the venue was absolute heaven, the acoustics "to die for"....I'm romanticizing the Cabooze in the late 70's in my mind up to equaling the Filmore in SF. Dare I??????

    Signed, Floundering in Florida...

  • @shvdem lol, yes Moby Dicks, where you could get, "a whale of a drink" :-)

  • It's 1979, Thursday night at the Cabooze, 2 for 1, who could afford Friday night full price.

  • 17 year old kid from minneapolis. makes me wish i was born then :(
