Diego didn't play with stars around him, he won it all on his own. He was the only European based player on the 1986 Argentina world champion team! Pele played alongside other greats, zidane played with other world class players, ronaldinho also. Maradona is the only one who won the world cup with a mediocre team, and who also took a weak team (napoli) to championships in the italian leauge!
