Hysteria Productions 2010 VFX Reel

This is a huge update since my last show reel. Almost 80% of it is new. There are VFX shots from the feature film "The Gates Of Hell" as well as some of the TVC's I've produced, short films, music videos and other feature movies. A number of the projects have picked up various awards around the world.

There are UFO's, people hit by cars, ghosts, apparitions, explosions, violence, sexy girls, spaceships, star wars light sabers, the afterlife, gun shots, wild weather and snow capped mountains. Many of them with before and after effects breakdowns of how the shots were achieved.

Most of the effects were achieved using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop and editing was done in Final Cut Pro. Some of the older shots were realised with Commotion Pro.

I plan on eventually putting together some Photoshop tutorials and After Effects tutorials but for now I would be happy to answer any question you may have.

@vimtoman40 Thanks. VFX stands for Visual Effects which means any effect that is created after the filming takes place. As opposed to Special Effects that take place in front of the camera while filming.

Most of the work was created on Adobe After Effects. Some was done with Photoshop, Final Cut, Motion or Shake. I think there's even a few older shots that were done with Commotion.

I reel that shows your work should be around the one minute mark and should show you best pieces of work,

the reason for this is that over time the viewer/employer will start to lose interest in the reel and end of a negative note whereas if your reel is short and snappy and shows your amazing you have more chance of being hired.

You have some really nice work in there but it could defiently be shortened
