@MIKON8ERISBACK Unfortunately, people don't always make the 'best' decisions regarding electrical equipment and electrical safety. Removing the protection that is provided by the ground pin could lead to a potential disaster in the future (ie. if the outer case/outer screws of the projector became energized in a ground-fault situation, and a person becomes the path to ground for the current).
**May at your school, they just want to let the students 'live on the edge'....
