@mexifrohawk You either cast "Soul trap" or you get a weapon with a soul trap enchant.

Another good place is the mages college in all the private quarters. nothing better than common gems but they're right there so why not take them, am i right?

if your going to make a guide make the guide so people can follow along
skipping forward in a guide doesn't really help the person watching it they have no idea where to find the soul gem deposits (for example) thus the reason they are watching the video

@Xemnas1211 The chances of obtaining soul gems are dependent on your level, past 50 you start getting mostly black soul gems

Can you help me? I mine the geode vein and all I get is conundum ore. Is there something I'm supposed to do to get the gems? I've already finished Elder Knowledge by the way.

@Xemnas1211 Some of the geode veins near the entrance to the left give ore. Most of them give soul gems, just keep on mining.
