Sheffield's Trout in the Town project: SPRITE

The Wild Trout Trust (through funding provided by the Esmee Fairbairn foundation) is developing a series of urban river restoration and custodianship projects across the UK through the "Trout in the Town" programme. Here is an example of the Sheffield chapter "S.P.R.I.T.E" (Sheffield Partnership: Rivers in Town Environments). SPRITE founders contacted the WTT at the end of 2008 and now the group has formed a community interest company allowing volunteer recruitment and initial activities to begin (as of May 2009).
