  • Fred is hilarious!

  • @boagshoags Using violence to intimidate an opposing viewpoint is the whole point of terrorism. Destroying property to force your viewpoint is wrong.

  • @boagshoags Misusing or misrepresenting information to achieve a goal is wrong. Just because politicians do it does not make it right.

  • @Dchellberg i've never experienced their mailings - i don't live in the US so i can't really comment. But propaganda is used in so many things every day. Propaganda isn't necessarily evil or wrong or negative. Think about ads for politicians during campaigns. Think about those ads you see for world vision with starving children. Propaganda is about influencing people's opinions. Using propaganda ain't wrong.

  • @Dchellberg i guess i don't see throwing paint on someone as a terrorist act.. but i'm pretty sure they don't throw paint on just any people anyway - they have thrown paint on catwalks where models wearing fur are exhibiting coats in the past. There must be other groups who do it though cos i've heard of that too.

  • @boagshoags I do know from personal experience that their fundraising mailers are total propaganda, of the when did you stop beating your wife variety. I feel that anyone who would support an organization that uses that tactic to raise money must not have a proper moral base. Effective change should only come from rational evaluation of evidence not from propaganda. A house built upon a foundation of sand will surely fall.

  • @boagshoags Without doing further research to back up my claim, so feel free to correct me, but did'nt PETA sponsor throwing paint on people wearing furs? If so they are certainly a terrorist organization and should be treated as such. If they are innocent of this particular act I stand corrected.

  • @Dchellberg Terrorist organisation? That's a stretch. The closest they come to terrorism is giving some money, (by mistake, or with other intentions), to the ALF and ELF, a long, long time ago. Thanks for pointing me towards the P and T ep - but from the start of the program its obvious that it's not impartial. The show is called "Bullshit". Of course they're going to say bad things about PETA. The first couple aren't even from PETA. PETA does ALOT of euthanising (they're criticised for it)

  • @boagshoag What you think they do, but do they? Do some research on this terrorist organization, if nothing else check out the Penn & Teller Bullshit episode on them.

  • YOU ARE GREAT, FRED!
