BREC's Perkins Road Community Park: Extreme Sports Complex

BREC will open the extreme sport complex on Saturday, Oct. 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at BREC's Perkins Road Community Park, 7122 Perkins Road.

A full morning of events has been scheduled to commemorate the park's grand opening, including demonstrations, food, music and fun. Festivities are open to the public. Residents, parents and children of all ages are encouraged to attend.

Improvements to the park include: a state-of-the art skate park, a revamped off-road bicycle or BMX track, walking, skating and biking trails, new parking areas and outdoor lighting, new picnic s...helters and a premanufactured concession and restroom building, a one-acre lake, resurfaced tennis courts, new sand volleyball courts, a new rock climbing facility, and a new community playground. The 52-acre park also features the velodrome, a cycling stadium that was improved.
