Red Bull Racing recently visited Austin, TX to shoot a promotional video. David Coulthard drove down Congress Avenue between MLK and 15th Street on Saturday morning August 20, 2012.
i'd be willing to bet that the V6 turbos are going to sound amazing. previous turbocharged F1 engines have had external wastegates and exhausts that are all of 12 inches long, and the rumors are that the new V6 turbos will be making power between 11,000 and 15,000 rpm. sounds good to me!
@Lancer033 just to clariy....yes most cars get better mpg, but they also do much less work. If you factor in the amount of work done vs fuel burned, F1 engines are the most effecient. Le Man's prototypes are probably pretty close though.

It's a pity we won't hear anything but V6 turbo sound in Austin. What horrible timing.

What a great spokesman for both Red Bull and F1. Never anything but smiles, even in our 100+ degree Heat.
