I think the expression is different. This is a homage ,perhaps before they played a wonderfull gifted technical role, but the conception artistry was the departed singer. The times are different, back then Britain was still a manufacturing country with poor wages conditions, but also craft. That is what was witnessed the craft of playing with a very important literary figure who didnt always no doubt have the best performances, its not a brittle thing music it changes.Im sure a lot more can be said.

Of course most of us miss Ian in this one but we must not forget that only these three guys can lay down that eary Joy Division vibe which other bands can only dream of. Great rendition nonetheless !

Peter Hook: the coolest and awesomest douche to ever walk this earth

I've fucking had it with checking out vids of New Order performing Joy Division songs and finding this litany of comments bitching about how it's not the same without Ian and viciously slagging Barney off for singing in Ian's place. Of course it's not gonna be the fucking the same without fucking Ian, but New Order's performances of these classic tunes are to be savored. They're amazing and anyone that disagrees is a right shit-brained tosser that can blow it out sticks stuck up their arses!!!

three men on this stage helped write this song and singer/songwriter ian curtis bailed. the negative comments are awfully childlike , please take your little tantrums back to mummy, and stop polluting the internet.

WTF is this?? what happened to their true style? why is hook moving like that and those screams from bernard make me wanna puke...
That song means too much to sing it like that
-
The band members from Joy Division killed Ian Curtis by changing the bands name to New Order and having that fat fuck singing his songs!
i hope their soul's never rest in peace:(

@docfraktal haha are you kidding me? NO are Joy Division minus Ian, if THEY don't have the right to cover one of their song i don't know the hell might have it...
